    Miguel pays close attention to perspective angles and lighting in his art to create an     illusion of depth and a visual way into his paintings. The unusual thickness shown in     his work is attributable to the build-up of many layers of paint and mixed media.     Although a time consuming task, it gives his work a deep texture that seems to live     and breathe emotion. Miguel’s paintings are personal impressions and memories     which he hopes are inspiring and pleasurable to those who view them.
